Permanent Closure of Our Office

Please see information below for additional instructions on booking appointments until you can get a new Physician...

With much regret, I will be permanently closing our Family Practice here in Hermitage.

As the COVID 19 pandemic has affected all of our lives, it has also brought about change. And sometimes that change has been good, and sometimes it has been bad.

For us, it has been very difficult financially to maintain an office during the pandemic with reduced patient visits that were born out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety. It has also unexpectedly brought about new opportunities professionally that will allow me to practice Integrative Medicine, which has been a passion of mine for some time now. Transitioning to that model will allow me to be home more with my family and start a new and different type of medical practice.

This has been something I have been serious about for a long time… but that means leaving Primary Care for in order to start a different type of practice model. And as such, I will no longer be able to see you for Primary Care. I very much wanted to extend more notice to you, however circumstances were uncertain for a period of time and I was not able to let you know sooner.

I will be closing for in-person visits on January 31st, 2021, but will be able to provide telemedicine visits into March to help everyone transition into a new PCP (or stay with this office if everything works out) and continue to get prescriptions, etc. Our website (www.doctorangelawillis.com) and our phones will still be active with updated information for you over the coming weeks and will remain active for the foreseeable future. Not to worry however, your medical records to be sent to you or a new provider and will be available to you even after the office has closed down.

You will not be without coverage for your needs. We have tried diligently to find someone to purchase the practice, but to no avail. Given the state of the world, the pandemic, and a new Administration, purchasing a medical office at this time is an uncertain proposition. I am saddened by the thought of leaving my patients, but very excited for the path ahead.

There are several Primary Care offices in the Hermitage and Mt Juliet areas. For our Commercial and Medicare patients, Heritage Medical is also at Summit in our building, and the are accepting new patients. For our TennCare patients, I am not sure who is taking new TennCare patients however, downtown, Dr. Taura Long is now accepting new TennCare.  For all of you, I would definitely call your insurance company and have them send you a list of providers in the area so you can determine your next steps in care.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to care for all of you for the last 5 years. I know this past year has been difficult for most of us, and has brought about both change and opportunity in ways that may never have happened prior to COVID. I am sad that I will no longer be able to care for you as your PCP, but grateful for the opportunity to have cared for you, and I wish you well as we all move forward into our “new normal”.

Sincerely and with Gratitude,

Angela Willis MD

Telemedicine Appointments

Dr. Willis can still see you via Telemedicine or by Phone visit to allow you to be seen during this transition time as well as to refill medications, treat acute conditions, check on your Diabetes, etc.

Just call the office to schedule an appointment so we can get you on the schedule. This option will be active until March 15th, 2021 to allow everyone access to care while they find new PCP's.
